As U.S. policies regarding foreign nationals visiting and working in the United States continue to evolve, Duke University is consistently reviewing and adapting its procedures. To that end the University and its accounting offices have made strides to ease the burden on staff, faculty and visiting scholars wherever possible. Specific guidelines and instructions have been created to aid faculty and staff faced with paying a visiting scholars or honorarium recipients as well as those who sponsor international visitors for visas.
